THE WINES
The new farm DIEGALE, designed and built by Alessandro and Paola, was founded in 2008 in Civitella Marittima (Grosseto), Podere Sant Antimo, nestled in the hills of Tuscany.
The farm is between 120 m above sea level on the border of the Lanzo stream, and continues up to 280 m. above sea level. It extends over 40 hectares with an exhibition and nature of the land unquestionably suited for the cultivation of vine, within the DOCG of Montecucco.
Agronomic and oenological valuations are shared and embraced by friends Dott.Agr. Mauro Nosi and Winemaker Fabrizio Moltard.
The scenery is just as beautiful and charming with a view from Casal di Pari to Campagnatico, going through Monte Antico, Sant'Angelo (Montalcino), Monte Amiata and Montecucco.
The climate is surprisingly mild and strongly influenced by air currents of the valley, affected by temperature changes which are formed between the hinterland and the sea (optimal temperature range).

I believe that starting from nothing and creating something that respects and enhances the environment is a thing of greatt satisfaction and happiness.
This is what Paola and I tried to do when creating a farm in our Tuscany, land of fine wines. While involving and receiving full support from our children Gabriele, Sara, and their families.
Making good wine is certainly ambitious, but with conviction, dedication, and the utmost respect for what the land and season can give and provide you, it will be a genuine success.
We are young but already grandparents. The company name "DIEGALE" comes from the names of our grandchildren, Diego and Alessandro.
When the seasons allow, we prepare our dishes using foods and flavors found in nature and try to use organic products as much as possible.
